Who is responsible
CS Platforms Ltd is the controller of personal information used to operate this website and handle your enquiry. Use the email or postal address above for privacy questions and requests.
Information and purposes
When you browse, our hosting provider Netlify processes technical information such as your IP address, requested page, time and browser information to deliver and secure the website. Our basis is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website.
When you contact us, we process the contact details and application information you provide to answer your request and manage the business relationship. Our basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract with you where applicable. We also retain information where necessary to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
You do not have to use the online form. The form requires an email address, message and topic so we can respond. Please do not include sensitive personal information or information unrelated to your enquiry. You can email us instead.
Nimble enquiry form
The form is supplied by Nimble, Inc. It stays unloaded until you choose to allow it. Loading it shares technical information with Nimble; submitting it sends the entered fields to our Nimble account for enquiry handling. The product-update checkbox is optional and is not needed to send an enquiry. If you opt in, we use your email address to send Crane Protection product updates on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us. Permission to load the form is separate from permission to receive product updates.
Read Nimble’s privacy policy and data processing terms. You can stop loading the form through Privacy settings. This does not delete an enquiry already sent; contact us to request deletion.
YouTube videos
Videos are hosted by YouTube, a Google service. We do not load a YouTube player before you explicitly allow it. Once loaded, Google receives technical information such as your IP address and may use cookies or similar storage for playback and its own service purposes. We use the youtube-nocookie.com embed address, which does not mean that playback is free of all storage or data processing. See Google’s privacy policy.
Cookies and privacy choices
This website does not run analytics or advertising tags. Optional YouTube players and the Nimble form are off by default. Each feature asks before it loads. You can decline and continue browsing.
Our own privacy control stores a dated record of your choices and the notice version in this browser tab’s session storage, under the key crane-privacy-v1. It is used only to manage and display privacy choices and expires when the browser session ends. Features still require a click to load on each page.
Use at any time to stop external content. This reloads the page to terminate the external scripts and players. It cannot undo data already sent or remove cookies held on third-party domains; you can clear those in your browser settings.
Recipients and overseas processing
Our authorised personnel and service providers handle information for website hosting, business communications and enquiry management. The website uses Netlify for hosting, Nimble for the enquiry form, and Google/YouTube if you allow videos. Providers may process data in the United States and other countries outside the UK.
Nimble’s published processing terms describe reliance on the Data Privacy Framework. Netlify publishes its privacy information and data processing agreement. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your enquiry and copies of relevant transfer safeguards.
How long information is kept
Enquiry records may remain in Nimble after we have answered the initial request. The appropriate retention period depends on whether the enquiry or business relationship remains active, whether the information is needed for an order or after-sales support, applicable record-keeping duties and the period needed to resolve disputes. We review inactive enquiries at least annually and delete or anonymise personal information that is no longer needed for these purposes. Keeping a record in Nimble does not, by itself, authorise marketing. Contact us about the retention or deletion of a particular enquiry.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or portability of your personal information. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and to use of your information for direct marketing. Contact effective@crane-protection.com to exercise these rights.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Where EU data protection law applies, you may also complain to the supervisory authority in the country where you live or work.
